GlobalBoats is a global maritime marketplace and professional platform.
Private owners and maritime businesses can offer boats and vessels for sale and connect with buyers worldwide. The marketplace supports recreational boats, yachts and commercial vessels. Listings generally require a minimum asking price of USD 1,000.
GlobalBoats is also a platform for the wider maritime industry. Alongside the core market participants that produce or sell vessels — Producers, Dealers and Brokers — GlobalBoats gives other maritime businesses worldwide the opportunity to present their company, offer their services and connect with customers and other maritime actors.
GlobalBoats currently supports the following business roles:
All maritime businesses can join through GlobalBoats Membership at one annual price, or start with free Service Presence for a basic network profile only. Rights depend on business role: brokers, dealers, and producers include vessel listing capacity; marinas, finance, insurance, surveyors, yards, and other service businesses receive a professional profile without vessel publishing.
GlobalBoats generally allows every user to list any type of vessel — from an airboat or sailing boat to a yacht, cargo vessel or tanker.
GlobalBoats is fundamentally a platform for all participants in the maritime industry. It is not an exclusive platform designed only for brokers, dealers or the yacht industry. Private boat and vessel owners, in both the pleasure and commercial sectors, can offer their vessels on GlobalBoats. Commercial maritime businesses can equally offer their vessels globally.
Global means global visibility. A GlobalBoats participant may offer a vessel locally, but the vessel can be visible to buyers worldwide.
GlobalBoats will soon support more than seven languages, allowing, for example, a Spanish-speaking seller to present a vessel in a way that can be understood by Arabic- or Chinese-speaking buyers.
GlobalBoats believes that, despite administrative, regulatory or practical differences between countries, vessels should generally have the opportunity to be presented to a global market and purchased by buyers across borders.
GlobalBoats currently distinguishes between the following main vessel categories:
GlobalBoats is a global marketplace for recreational boats, yachts and commercial vessels for sale. Commercial inventory is part of the same marketplace, but buyers can move through dedicated commercial views and filters rather than mixing professional shipping inventory with pleasure boats.
Business brokers and professional sellers can list tankers, cargo ships, ferries, tugs, workboats and commercial fishing vessels through the GlobalBoats vessel-seller plans.
GlobalBoats is designed for brokers selling commercial ships as well as yachts.
A tanker for sale can be presented according to its commercial vessel type and specifications rather than being forced into a recreational-boat format. Relevant tanker classes may include VLCC, Suezmax and Aframax, together with product tankers, chemical tankers and LNG/LPG carriers.
Depending on the vessel type, commercial specifications may include measures such as DWT, GT, gross tonnage and TEU, allowing buyers to understand the vessel using terminology familiar to the commercial shipping market.
The same approach applies to cargo ships for sale, including container vessels, bulk carriers, RoRo vessels, reefer vessels, ferries and tugs.
GlobalBoats does not price a Business seller plan according to the size or asking price of the commercial vessel.
A broker does not pay a higher seller-plan price simply because a vessel is 300 metres long or has an asking price of $300 million.
The seller-plan structure is based on the Business subscription and listing capacity, not on vessel length or vessel value. There is no vessel length cap and no vessel value cap on Business seller plans.
One marketplace, different vessel markets — without pricing penalties for larger or higher-value vessels.
GlobalBoats also supports the professional fishing market.
A commercial fishing vessel for sale can be presented as a professional fishing vessel rather than as a recreational fishing boat. Relevant information can include the vessel type, fishing method, operating area and other commercial fishing information associated with the vessel.
In commercial fishing transactions, the vessel itself may be only one part of the sale. Depending on the jurisdiction and the structure of the transaction, information may also relate to a fishing licence, fishing license, fishing permit, fishing quota, fishing rights, fishing areas or permitted species.
For example, a seller may need to describe whether rights relating to cod, pollock or other regulated species form part of the transaction, are transferable separately, or are subject to specific conditions.
This allows professional buyers to understand both the vessel and the commercial fishing context in which it operates.
GlobalBoats operates one global vessel marketplace.
Pleasure boats and commercial vessels are not separate platforms. Instead, the marketplace can present different vessel-market views and search filters so that a buyer searching for a yacht does not need to navigate the same inventory view as a buyer searching for a VLCC tanker, cargo ship or commercial fishing vessel.
The same listing infrastructure can therefore support:
Yachts · motorboats · sailing boats · tankers · cargo ships · container vessels · bulk carriers · ferries · tugs · workboats · commercial fishing vessels
For professional brokers, the workflow remains simple: select the appropriate vessel class, provide the relevant vessel specifications and publish the listing to the marketplace.
To publish a listing, certain minimum information is required. These minimum requirements apply equally to Private and Business Accounts.
The minimum information includes:
In addition to the minimum information required to publish a listing, GlobalBoats allows users to create a detailed vessel listing.
Users can provide detailed specifications for the boat or vessel depending on its class.
Users can also select from more than 100 features to describe the vessel in greater detail. For commercial fishing permits, areas, and species, use the structured commercial fishing fields described under Commercial vessels & professional fishing.
We recommend using these options to provide potential buyers with as much detailed information about the vessel as possible.
GlobalBoats also allows users to offer boats and vessels that have been damaged or destroyed by flooding or hurricanes but still have remaining value. These vessels can be identified accordingly and offered on the marketplace.
GlobalBoats is designed to make creating a listing fast. A user can create a vessel listing in under two minutes.
GlobalBoats offers annual business subscriptions for maritime service companies and vessel sellers. Pleasure craft and commercial vessels use the same seller plans. Your limit is active listings — not vessel value.

Everything in Professional
Higher plans include everything in the tiers below them. Enterprise listing capacity above Professional is agreed individually through contact with GlobalBoats. Listing limits apply across your total active inventory. Subscription pricing does not depend on vessel asking price or market value.
Enterprise includes everything in Professional, individually agreed listing capacity above 50, and additional multi-location management for enterprise customers: create offices, assign team members and manage listings across locations. There is no public subscription price — contact GlobalBoats to scope capacity and onboarding.
Professional services (optional — not part of your subscription; scoped and negotiated separately, typically time & material):
All business subscriptions are billed annually. Self-serve tiers use Pay Now or Invoice / ACH / SEPA per plan. Prices are net and exclude applicable taxes.
Pricing principles. Pleasure and commercial vessels use the same seller pricing. Listing limits are based on active vessels, not vessel value. Both vessel markets remain separated in search and browsing.
Authoritative plan list and CTAs: pricing page. Pricing · GlobalBoat.
This guide uses USD in examples for clarity. Authoritative amounts for checkout and display are defined in GlobalBoats price lists — not calculated from daily exchange rates.
On the pricing page you can switch display between USD, EUR, and CAD. Each option shows fixed catalog prices from our active currency price lists for that billing currency.
A private person can have one Private Account on GlobalBoats.
Private sellers can publish up to 3 active listings at a time. Your first listing is free for 6 months (one-time intro offer per account). Up to 2 additional listings can be published for $20 / listing / 6 months — the same product for every extra slot. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal.
Unpublishing and republishing the same listing during a valid term does not require a new payment.
Deleting a listing does not restore the intro offer. A deleted intro listing never grants another free slot to a new listing.
Each private listing must have a minimum asking price of USD 1,000.
For private sellers, the normalized listing price used for search and platform limits is capped at USD 5,000,000. Vessels above that limit should be listed through a professional broker on GlobalBoats.
Private sellers may list commercial vessels when the listing stays within the USD 5,000,000 normalized search price limit and meets all other publish requirements. There is no separate limit of two yacht or commercial listings for private accounts.
Listings may include commercial fishing vessels and structured fishing licence, permit, or quota information supported by the listing model. The USD 5,000,000 cap applies to the normalized vessel/listing asking price for search — not as a blanket limit on separate fishing licence, permit, or quota values described in the listing.
Private sellers can buy Search Boost for a selected active listing — a paid add-on (see Visibility & Promotion). It is not the same as a free intro listing term.
Features included in business subscriptions (Events workspace, vessel seller quotas, Professional tools, and similar) are not available on a Private Account.
Private Account includes
Private users can decide which personal information they want to make public on GlobalBoats.
Private sellers can choose to receive inquiries only through the GlobalBoats “Send Message” function, allowing them to keep their personal contact information private.
Private sellers can also decide whether brokers are allowed to contact them or not.
GlobalBoats allows a user to have both a Private Account and a Business Account at the same time.
A Business Account does not replace the Private Account. Both accounts can exist in parallel and are used separately for private and business activities.
GlobalBoats is a subscription-based platform for professional vessel sellers and the wider maritime industry.
GlobalBoats itself does not provide brokerage, financing, insurance, survey, transport or other maritime services beyond the platform and its functions. GlobalBoats is responsible for providing the technical functionality of the platform.
GlobalBoats follows a transparent and understandable pricing policy. The authoritative 2026 vessel seller price list is published on the pricing page.
Pleasure and commercial vessels use the same seller pricing. GlobalBoats does not charge different seller rates by vessel market.
Listing limits are based on active vessels, not vessel value. A seller's active listing quota applies across total inventory — pleasure craft and commercial vessels count together toward the same limits.
Both vessel markets remain separated in search and browsing, but entitlement and pricing are shared at the seller-account level.
Beyond the public Professional plan (50 active listings), organizations that need more capacity work with GlobalBoats on an individually agreed subscription — there are no fixed public tiers or prices above Professional.
Contact GlobalBoats through Talk to GlobalBoats to agree listing capacity and onboarding. API, CRM, migration, and custom digital work are professional services billed separately (typically time & material) — they are not included in vessel seller subscriptions.
All published seller plan prices are net prices. Applicable sales tax, VAT, GST, or other taxes required by the relevant jurisdiction are excluded and may be added where required.
GlobalBoats is also a platform for the wider maritime industry. GlobalBoats currently supports Finance Brokers by allowing them to apply for participation in the GlobalBoats Finance Partner Program.
All Finance Brokers can apply to become a GlobalBoats Finance Partner. Applications are reviewed by GlobalBoats. Admission to the program will generally not be a problem.
When a buyer is interested in financing a vessel, participating Finance Partners can be displayed based on the regions in which the Finance Broker offers credit agreements. The Finance Partner can appear together with the financing example provided to the buyer.
Participation in the GlobalBoats Finance Partner Program is subject to a separate participation fee. The amount of this fee has not yet been determined.
The model deliberately does not provide for GlobalBoats to participate in the financing transaction or receive a referral fee or commission based on the financing transaction.
GlobalBoats also does not intend to rank individual Finance Partners as better or worse. The objective is to provide a certain level of equal treatment among participating Finance Partners.
The financing itself is agreed exclusively between the buyer and the Finance Partner. GlobalBoats is not a lender or financing provider.
The same type of Partner Program may also be introduced for Insurance Brokers in the future.
Insurance Broker profiles can present the following Insurance Broker-specific services:

These roles currently do not have their own role-specific service group. With GlobalBoats Membership, they can maintain a full Business Profile on GlobalBoats without vessel publishing rights.
The Business Profile allows the company to present its business and become discoverable on GlobalBoats. The company can appear in business search results and can be found through the GlobalBoats business map based on its location.
These businesses can use the general Business Profile functions available under their Business subscription, including:
Business Opportunities let a maritime business state on GlobalBoats — in plain, readable profile text — that the company is for sale, open to offers, or open to acquisition; and whether it welcomes broker or dealer cooperation and commission sharing. When published, this information is part of your online business profile and can be discovered through GlobalBoats business search and directory filters (for example businesses for sale or open to partnerships).
The following roles currently use the general Business Profile without additional role-specific service fields:
GlobalBoats offers additional options to increase the visibility of listings.
Search Boost pushes one selected active listing higher in relevant search results for a purchased boost period.
Private Account holders and business organization accounts on the Starter plan or higher may purchase Search Boost for eligible active listings. Membership and Service Presence alone do not include business Search Boost rights.
Search Boost
If all available slots are occupied, no additional Search Boost can be activated until a slot becomes available.
Eligible business customers can also purchase additional Landing Page visibility for their company or listings.
These placements are separate from Search Boost and are not included in standard vessel seller subscriptions.
Professional and Enterprise include everything in Starter (including Events and Search Boost eligibility) plus the Professional Dashboard, Market Intelligence, Vessel Intelligence, AI Vessel Valuation, and Team management for the business account owner.
Market Intelligence provides read-only market context for your inventory on Professional-tier workspace surfaces — complementary to Vessel Intelligence and listing management.

GlobalBoats is building a curated historical intelligence database of individual vessels.
Every vessel listing published on GlobalBoats contributes to Vessel Intelligence. After review and curation, relevant information is connected to a persistent vessel record, allowing specifications, listings, asking prices, price changes and market history to be tracked over time.
In addition, GlobalBoats regularly collects vessel information from external sources. After review, matching and curation, relevant data is added to the corresponding vessel record, progressively creating a richer historical picture of individual vessels and the market.
The objective: not a database of old listings, but a continuously growing historical intelligence record for individual vessels.

GlobalBoats AI Vessel & Boat Valuation is an AI-powered tool designed to help owners and maritime professionals determine a realistic market value for a vessel.
The goal is to support a strong but market-aligned asking price — helping sellers avoid both undervaluing a vessel and pricing it above the market, which can reduce buyer interest and extend time on market.
The valuation combines multiple valuation methods together with available vessel and market evidence to generate an estimated value range and supporting analysis.
The feature is currently in Beta and its valuation methodology is being continuously tested, calibrated and refined as GlobalBoats expands its vessel and market intelligence.
